Caroline Menes leads Proskauer’s legal recruiting efforts, responsible for all aspects of hiring summer associates and lateral associates, as well as overseeing the summer associate program.
With a major focus on the latest career and recruiting issues in the legal industry, Caroline has been a speaker for the New York City Bar Association (NYCBA), the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), the New York City Recruitment Association, the Asian American Bar Association of New York, as well as top law schools including New York University, the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell and Fordham.
Caroline counsels the Firm’s summer associates, maintains relationships with Proskauer alumni, and frequently provides resume and interview training in connection with Proskauer’s CSR efforts. Connecting with students and families in her community, she has spoken on numerous panels for participants in the Fresh Air Fund, Manhattan Hunter High School, Rosie’s Theatre Kids, the Posse Foundation, and the Educational Alliance. As an advocate for the anti-gun violence movement, Caroline volunteers for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, the grassroots organizational arm of Everytown for Gun Safety.
Serving as chair of the Fellow Orientation Subcommittee, Caroline runs the orientation program for the Diversity Fellows for the NYCBA Committee for the Recruitment and Retention of Lawyers. She is also part of the Ethics & Standards Advisory Group of NALP, an invitation-only group responsible for the implementation and interpretation of NALP principles and standards. Additionally, she is involved in NALP’s Legal Employer Alumni Relations section.
Before joining Proskauer, Caroline managed corporate paralegals at Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, served as a career services counselor at Columbia Law School, and began her legal career as a corporate associate at O’Melveny & Myers.
